These sessions are helpful for: individuals living with disabilities, chronic health conditions or mobility issues clients working with injuries or post surgery beginners or those who are not comfortable to join a group class students wishing to learn breathing and meditation techniques to manage stress, depression, anxiety and loss individuals motivated to build healthy habits or develop a home practice Our sessions usually take place in the comfort of your home. In our first session, we will discuss your needs and a range of tools and practices. Together, we will build on what works for you. Every person is different. One-on one sessions are partnerships in healing. I’ve been offering private yoga since 2016 to students living with with spinal cord injuries, MS, ataxia, brain injury, organ transplant, arthritis, ostheoporosis and more.       <image:caption>Accessible classes in small groups, suited for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Online and in person. All classes emphasize slow mindful movements, proper body alignment, breath work, mindfulness and relaxation. Practicing at the same time each week can help you create space for self-care, meet other practitioners and connect with a community of like minded people. Small groups allow you to receive more attention from your instructor. You can make specific requests and ask questions. Through a regular practice, students become more aware of their body and build strenght, flexibility and balance. With time, many develop an interest in yoga beyond the physical postures. The awareness and calm they cultivate in their practice support their day-to-day life. Gentle Yoga- Monday and Friday 9:30-10:45am (in person and online options) A gentle therapeutic class focused on building and maintaining mobility and stability. Great class for beginners, people working with injuries, health conditions and students looking for soft-opening and mind-body awareness. YOGA ON BEACON, 3063 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144 To sign up go to: https://yogaonbeacon.com/ Slow Flow- Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm (in person and online options) Refine postures and cultivate mindfulness through a slower and gentler flow. Students will receive the most benefits if they are able to follow a sun salutation. YOGA ON BEACON, 3063 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144 To sign up go to: https://yogaonbeacon.com/ Gentle Yoga Monday and Wednesday 12-1pm (in person and online with video recordings) A 60 minute class designed for those who are looking for a slower practice to restore and preserve mobility, balance and stability of the body and mind. Practice will begin exploring gentle therapeutic movements aimed at opening common areas of tension in the body and addressing postural imbalances. This is a good class for people living with mobility challenges due to aging, injuries or chronic health conditions. It is also a helpful “middle of the day reset” for anyone feeling stressed or depleted. COLUMBIA CITY YOGA, 4860 Rainier Ave S, Suite D, Seattle 98118 To sign up go to: https://www.columbiacityyoga.com/classes Adaptive Yoga- Wednesdays 2:30-3:30pm in-person class series and Fridays 2-3pm virtual class This class is for individuals living with mobility disabilities such as partial or total paralysis, amputation, spinal cord injury, severe arthritis, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, spina bifida and cerebral palsy. Participants must be able to follow simple instructions. We welcome students who do and do not use a wheelchair.
